INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0 TOWARDS PUBLIC UTILITIES IN ENERGY SECTOR

In the collaboration between NIICS and Viet Nam Electricity (EVN), they organized a Workshop on IR 4.0 towards Public Utilities in Energy sector, which was held on Wednesday, March 7 2018, at Head office of EVN as following. I was invited to attend this workshop and discussed with them regrading the agenda as following.

• My dissuasion with them on agenda
  1. Electric Power is one of the Energy, not independent. And New Technologies and New Energy  should change the fundamental of Electricity. For example,
     • Electric Energy Storage System
     • New and Renewable Energy
     • High Voltage Direct Current
     • Convergence with ICBM technologies, especially IoT and Bid Data.
  2. Electricity must be Smart in the near future. Smart means;
     • Intelligent
     • system Integrated
     • Interoperatible
  3. You should be think of Consumer – Demand-side rather than Supply. There are many opportunities to make New Business for themselves.
     • Electric Safety level
     • Power Quality
     • Distributed Resource
  4. Revolution always involves the pain for cutting your body, skin breaking pain. As similar with the past experience to win the war, I believe that  Vietnamese will succeed in Industrial Revolution 4.0.
